Few have done more in the epic battle for free and fair elections than Toni Shuppe, of Audit the Vote PA fame.  She has been such a persistent pain for RINOs and Democrats alike in Pennsylvania that she and her organization are regularly targeted in hit pieces from all over the state, including in conservative areas.

Recently, Toni forwarded me an email from Sam DeMarco, an Allegheny County councilor, and Chairman of the Allegheny County GOP.  In fairness, no Republican nominee has carried that county, which contains metro Pittsburgh, since 1972, when it was won in a national landslide by incumbent Richard Nixon.  Despite its enduring loyalty to Democrats, the modern county has rarely produced the kind of soul-destroying, state-losing margins that one may find in Philadelphia County, or in other major metros in the greater region such as Wayne County, Michigan.

DeMarco was forwarded Episode 64 of “The Captain’s Battlegrounds,” which features Allegheny County and makes my case for 48,759 minimum excess votes for Joe Biden, in a state decided by just 80,555 votes in certified results (my lenient estimates give President Trump a 6.4% margin of victory in the Keystone State, based on voter registration trends, voter behavior, and population considerations).  He responded by, well, throwing a fit.
