A nearly 3,000 word executive order laying the framework for drastic elections overhauls broken down for you, the reader, in easily digestible nuggets and bullet points.
Excellent summary - I see the work you put into it. Thank you! You mentioned that North Dakota doesn’t have voter registration - how do they identify legal voters? Also, if we go down the route of no voting registration - then with your proposal of smaller voting blocks, the poll workers should have a list of zoned residential housing and the maximum allowable inhabitants per housing unit by local laws and have voters sign an attestation with ID that they legally live at the residence. I’m not sure how to establish citizenship other than birth certificate, passport, global entry card. I’ve seen “real ID” needed as a reminder for air travel, if that can be used as establishment of citizenship (and that should be listed on the card as so), that’s great. Trump’s EO is a good first step, but definitely more to be done.
I would be ok with Pres.Trump declaring a national emergency with respect to our elections, considering the amount of foreign and cartel influence, dark money, vote by mail fraud, corrupted voter rolls, uncertified machines, etc. By doing so may limit the ability of rogue judges from perpetuating the fraud.
I was looking forward to your summary on this. Great analogy, as usual!
Just a different thought here, though... What if the Dems go through the election with 'business as usual', and pull out all the stops and 'election integrity laws be damned'.
They are willing to give up the federal funding. Why? Because the federal funding will be gone from the first week of November to the last week of January. It's a small sacrifice to pay to get the chosen communists over the finish line.
I say that if the Dems don't seem to cry too hard over this, something like this is in their playbook. But, like you said, critical parts of this MUST become federal law to stand a chance. You can imagine what that fight will look like...
Excellent breakdown Seth! I was hoping you could clarify this portion for me:
“The Secretary of Homeland Security, as the head of the designated Sector Risk Management Agency under 6 U.S.C. 652a, in coordination with the Election Assistance Commission, shall assess the security of all such systems to the extent they are connected to, or integrated into, the Internet and report on the risk of such systems being compromised through malicious software and unauthorized intrusions into the system.”
“Would this force Dominion, ES&S and the others to allow a full forensic analysis of their machines including their “proprietary software” that we currently cannot access?”
The other question I have is,
“Does this EO cover actions such as those Tina Peters did in attempting to secure election information so those attempting to throw light on corruption do t also get thrown in prison?”
I think the entire play is to lead into an investigation suggesting the same thing Halderman found - that the electronic elections are vulnerable and non transparent. This will potentially lead us in another path.
Tina Peters was convicted because she used one authorized person's ID badge to let another person look at the machines - who was unathorized to do so....with some sort of potential monies involved.
Bullshit, she was railroaded for sharing the info she recorded before Dominion did their version of election fraud with “trusted build” she caught those bastards red handed and is spending 9 years of her life for exposing corruption in CO! She should have been hailed as a hero not incarcerated!
I appreciate all of this and I thought especially prudent and accurate as well that you used the word “broken” to describe our elections just as in other posts I’ve seen you use “manipulated” and “rigged” as opposed to “fake” - which has always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. Always sounded glib and unserious. And it doesn’t explain anything.
I'm going to take a wild guess and predict that the left and the media will howl about these reforms, despite the fact that they were conventional wisdom within the Democratic Party less than 20 years ago. They'll find edge cases, catastrophize about the poor black Georgians who might be disenfranchised, platform some 'expert' who sounds a note of caution. These changes will still prove to be wildly popular.
Terrific summary. Captain K! The fact that existing federal election law has been so egregiously ignored is yet more proof that the other half of the Globalist Uniparty, the GOPe/Establishment/RINOs along with the Marxist Dems, is just as culpable.

Thanks so much! My understanding is that they check for state ID and then furnish a ballot. We need small precincts to facilitate this.
100% necessary.

Thank you Captain for this effort!
You bet Lee and thanks!

I wonder if our president has any plans for John Roberts? It seems like Roberts feels invincible or why would he keep sticking it to Trump?

She may still get indicted on wire fraud?

Very good to have John Zmirak’s support:

I'm sorry to go off topic but....
Seth, do you plan to do an autopsy on the recent special election for the Pennsylvania state senate seat?
A deep red seat flips blue? Really?

Thanks Jan, I do my best to keep it straight.

They will whine and still talk about how great those other countries are.
