My family left the church we belonged to when the vote to disaffiliate from the United Methodist church failed. It was a shame because while many Methodist churches are fluff, the pastor and associate pastor at this one were conservative and really spiritually gifted. Luckily we found a nearby church that was amazing! Not just the elders, but the entire congregation is really diligent in their study of the Bible and in doing His will.
One great example of late: I had never noticed it before, but in the parable of the ten virgins, Matthew 25:5 says *all* of them (virgins = churches in the metaphorical imagery of the Bible) fell asleep, not just the 5 with no oil. So don't be disheartened that you woke up before the rest of your congregation! Take those who are willing with you; the Holy Spirit will provide you with brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers.
Right on right on-- “Somehow, this emergent church abandoned its concerns for legitimate equality and cessation of human trafficking “ let alone their own rights to gather and worship in 2020-2021. We ask for honest and humble reflection for this and ask “when churches are urged to shut down again, will you comply?”
Add Pastor Dan Fisher and Jackson Lahmeyer to the good list. Excellent work Seth! I love that you called out the congregation to speak to the pastors. If the pastors don’t know how to change or aren’t quite sure what they need to do, send them to the next Liberty Pastors training session. Contact Pastor Paul Blair who heads that up.
Well said Seth. For two years I’ve been struggling with churches ignoring the elephant in the room. I was beginning to think I was the only one that thought that the pulpit was one of the expected sources of truth about our divine freedoms.
I finally found one that isn’t afraid to speak about the atrocities our society is facing. Along with it I found like-minded people to fellowship with.
Yes we got pretty fed up with our church for not addressing social issues, and it became easy to leave when they closed for almost 18 months over “covid”. There are still some strong churches willing to NOT conform, and open their doors to home school co-ops, etc. The Bible says not to forsake the assembly of Christians, but it doesn’t have to be in a pretty building. There are many home churches that are more like the first century examples now.
Black Robe Regiment Don Fisher is coming to Brownwood Saturday night to the Lyric Theatre and Sunday morning and afternoon at the church you spoke at in April. I can’t wait to hear him!
I’m afraid that the church of my youth, the United Methodist Church, is now nothing more than a front for virtue-signaling liberal activism. I know a lot of “Christians” that are so busy denouncing the now virtually non-existent systemic “hate” towards race, sexuality, etc. they fail to see how it is being used as a weapon to completely destroy the principles that made us great in the first place.
Yes my church is a liberty church in Yukon, OK. Dan Fisher put on his ‘Bringing back the Black Robed Regiment’ presentation at my church just last Sunday. Dan copastors a larger liberty church in Edmond with Pastor Paul Blair, who was mentioned by CaptK.
When the Dobbs decision was handed down, Jack Posobiec observed that Catholic churches largely didn't touch the issue on that following Sunday. I think my church acknowledged it but didn't wish to explore it.
The wokeness and waffling on national sovereignty issues are not merely affecting organizations like United Methodist or Presbyterian Church USA, but also traditionally fundamentalist churches right here on the buckle of the Bible belt. Topical preaching tends to miss a number of key verses in the Bible with respect to our duties as a Christian. It opens the door for milquetoast and the lukewarm that indirectly implies the passive approach to broader acceptance and compliance "for the greater good.". Thank you, Captain K, for once again knocking one out of the park. I will see to it that this message is elevated within my congregation.
Bravo! Thank you for your courage in speaking truth no matter who it may apply to. If you email me directly, I have an interesting way in which I might be able to further support your work.

This needs to be shouted from the roof tops. Awake, awake, all sleepers!

Great thoughts, Seth. God bless you today.
Taking time to converse with our pastors gives us time to let them know we support God’s word in the pulpit.

Oh I’m sure I will and some friends.
