Former South Carolina Governor and Ambassador to the United Nations Nimrata “Nikki” Haley is poised to enter the fray for the 2024 GOP nomination. Her announcement is expected to be made on February 15th, making her the first high profile challenger to come out against Donald Trump, the odds-on favorite for the nomination.
THE SIZZLE: Haley has little going for her other than the fact that she is female, and will probably position herself to be the “our values” candidate, hearkening back to two decades ago when GOP strategists sought the narrowest path possible to 270 electoral votes.
