If there was EVER a reason to ditch the filibuster, (a rule adopted by the Senate and crippled by Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell) then this act is definitely IT. Without reasonably fair elections, we don't have a republic, we have the USSR, or PRC, or these days, the EU.
We know that the Dems will dump it as soon as they get a power trifecta again, which they won't if they can't cheat. Sure, they will continue to control the blue cities where mentally disturbed folks run things and incompetents outnumber those that produce. They won't, however, control all the state governments and federal elections will not be possible for them again, unless the party ditches its loons and nutjobs and becomes the party of JFK or some reasonable facsimile again.
The RINO's are a much much bigger problem than the Dems...that is the main problem here in California...the state and county Republican parties are way way WORSE than the Democrats. Supremely corrupt and a bunch of feckless back stabbers. The Repubs and the Dems here work hand in hand and have completely destroyed the state.

I agree, it’s an important step, even as we push forward. In blue Oregon I’m working on tally sheets for hand counting speed, while many in the public think mail-in ballots are the way it is. I’m still encouraged for the future! I Love your work.
I often try to inform people about the distinction you make concerning illegal immigrants even though it may seem like a small point. While in Texas, I lived in a county with about 50% hispanic people. The neighborhood I lived in was about 80% which including both legal and illegal immigrants which often occurs even within a household. We must show a driver's license to vote in Texas although there might be ways around that of which I am unaware. And no, the illegal immigrants do not actually vote. Their numbers are used to create ballots. Knowing what is actually happening in the various forms of fraud is critical to stopping it in effective ways.

I am with you on having to re-register to vote every year like we do with our taxes and car registration. I think this might also help with preventing people from still keeping someone on the voter rolls who had moved or passed away. I agree we need to call our senators and reps to get this pass.
I realize this is an old post...but about Scott Presler...the dude that's done more for election corruption than anyone due to his registration drives and push for AVR & early voting...
He's currently posting on X that existing voters won't have to re-register. That won't solve anything!! In fact, that will ensure that election fraud continues because that bank of ineligible voters will still be there to attach harvested ballots to.
Of course, he blocked me about two years ago because I informed his followers that they were following him off a cliff, but I digress.
Seth: California issues drivers licenses to all illegals, now I'm not sure if those are real ID's or just regular ones, but all illegals in California now possess a driver's license which is used as an ID. Also, people are prohibited from showing ID's when you vote. The people at the precinct actually lecture you if you show ID, it's the twilight zone here. So would the SAVE Act eliminate the drivers licenses for illegals problem and what about no requirement to show ID? You know that all the Dems in California will be up in arms against this big time.
Well I've contacted my 2 almost certainly "No" voting senators here in Illinois - Durbin and Duckworth - and plan to continue the pressure. Hopefully I'll be joined by many tens of thousands of others. Not that these two hacks would dare cross their leadership.
