When you think about it, the fact that our Veterans need help from private groups tells you everything you need to know about the priorities of our government...where illegals get more assistance than our vets. This is a stellar set of ideas, thank you. Let's all try and identify a resource that could donate some form of platform that supports crowd funding but absolutely minimizes overhead. If that resource donated a platform site, then all of the funding could conceivably go toward this noble cause. The worst example known is GoF-un-dMe because it's reported they hog up 15% of every dollar while sitting back and letting a bunch of electrons do the work. Memory has it that in the '80s, United Way was blasted for having a 5% overhead rate.
I sense God is on this Capt. K. As you have put this out there, I believe God will now move on the heart and minds of American patriots that love Jesus and will make connections that will truly amaze and inspire you and Rachel. As other have mentioned, other organizations might be open to partner and network with you on this. I can think of Samaritan's Purse, Franklin Graham's program for Wounded Warriors in Alaska. Arc of Justice, William Ostan's organization in SC. You have the heart and Jesus/Holy Spirit will speak, guide and direct your heart my friend. Blessings!
