This fight will never be 'over' and we'll never 'get our country back.' The changes that have been made are here, forever (or until new changes erase them from the board). It's the Hegelian notion. The past was the thesis, the new progressive ideas and policy changes are the antithesis, and the synthesis results from our opposing them.

Two comments: (1) the powerful are the real focus of these changes. It's sad and unfair but the poor and the sick and the lower-middle class are mostly passengers on this ship. The outcome of the cultural battles happening right now will be determined in institutions which exist plus others which are emerging.

(2) the big trends we need to be cognizant of are certainly political (and electoral) but ALSO social and cultural and psychological. If our birth rate doesn't begin to rebound and our family structures continue to dissolve and millions of kids remain stuck in a kind of digital purgatory, then no amount of political victories will redeem us. The border is now mostly closed: great. But a border is only really meaningful in a country with healthy communities and a sense of civic duty.

We have a lot of work to do.

When this is all over is when we enjoy the Sabbath rest of Jesus after God's day of judgment. But rejoice because the kingdom of heaven is at hand and Jesus said "It is finished."

Cap’n Seth, Sir, you are correct regarding the never ending nature of the fight.

“The past is never dead. It’s not really past. All of us labor in webs spun long before we were born, webs of heredity and environment, of desire and consequence, of history and eternity.” - W’m Faulconer

Our past, our present and our future … was, is and will be dominated by the struggle between Good and evil, over any and all useful resources, including especially our hearts and minds.

This seems to be a clear theme, from Genesis to the Revelation of John. And do we not see it in our history ever since? Everywhere and in every age?

Do not think of the struggle as a task to be finished nor one from which we can tire. Rather, embrace it as on par with breathing. And just we relish every life sustaining breath, we should relish every soul sustaining act of faith, as a blow against evil.

The moral & patriotic values we hold is a high-point on a hill. The left's "BANZAI charge" is an uphill battle for them. We cannot relent nor tire from their barrages. Even after "This" is all over, we cannot fall into the complacency that brought us the debacle we must correct. Ever vigilant we must be

I agree that we have been hoodwinked since the 60’s into thinking all is well by listening to a consistently propagandized press.

The 60’s, with all of its feminism, free love and then the following 70’s/80’s starting the ‘me’ thinking, have undone the family unit and created a very selfish, ego centric society. God has taken a back seat for many. However, I see a change in this country and remain optimistic that people are returning to traditional values and seeing where we made mistakes in the past decades. We were so busy making a living and raising our kids, we ignored our government! Shame on us!

Many of us have been wakened to the fake news and the cabal at the helm. I’m so encouraged by how many people I’ve seen become activists to save this country and help right the ship. I’m blessed to be involved with a couple of groups that are active daily and keep an eye on legislation so we don’t let them slip their evil takeover bills past us. We’re on a journey, and the truth is setting us free. I don’t see the end in sight but I do see that light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. When my energy wanes, I pray…a lot! And that gets me back on track. I live in CA and the fight never stops here. But we keep moving and don’t take our eyes off of the leftist shenanigans.

Some people I know did breathe a sigh of relief with Trump’s election, thinking all would be saved. Little did they realize the real fight was just beginning.

Amen! The previous alarm, headed by Joe McCarthy, was cancelled, in much the same way the the left is trying to muffle Trump. There is no question the communists infiltrated the government, the press, academia, and the entertainment industry. McCarthy, like Trump, was brash and abrasive, but, unlike Trump, he could not gain traction with the public, which had not yet lost faith in the elite. Trump has the advantage of a huge audience that distrusts Congress, the press, and religious leaders, and the internet on which we can immediately voice discontent. Some of those who have become fabulously wealthy in designing web platforms get off on censoring users, but it has become so widespread that it overwhelms attempts to control it. Trump has managed to capture a significant portion of that audience as well as some of the new entrepreneurs, and has a shot at turning officialdom out to pasture..
